City to Host ‘Meet and Greet’ with Artists at New Heights Panel Discussion May 6

Old Town Newhall Library is located at 24500 Main Street.

The City of Santa Clarita invites local artists to explore the world of public art from a business perspective with a FREE Panel Discussion on Tuesday, May 6, at 6 p.m. at the Old Town Newhall Library.  No RSVP is required to attend.

The panel discussion will provide valuable information about how to break into a career in public art. Respected figures from the Los Angeles art scene comprise the panel, including Alan Nakagawa from Metro Arts’ Public Art program; Professor Renee Petropulous from the Otis College of Art and Design; and the Director of GLOW Marc Pally.  The panel’s moderator will be CalArts Director Tom Lesser who oversees the Arts and Technology Program in the School of Art and the Center for Integrated Media.

The panel discussion is being presented in conjunction with the City of Santa Clarita’s “New Heights” Artist Development Series.
